Assistant to the Director of Rabbinic Education and Support Services

This is a Full-time position in New York, NY posted June 8, 2021.

The Central Conference of American Rabbis (CCAR) is seeking an Assistant to the Director of Rabbinic Education and Support Services.

The Assistant will report directly to the Director of Rabbinic Education and Support Services.

This position will also support the work of the Education Specialist as well as the Senior Staff and the CCAR in general.

Qualifications, including but not limited to:
Quick learner with the ability and willingness to learn new programs, technologies and processes; Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and Zoom; Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities; Must be organized and detailed oriented; Working knowledge of webpage maintenance; Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal, leadership and customer service skills; Professional and courteous telephone and office demeanor; Willingess to take direction and feedback Willingness to be flexible; Willingness to take active part in the office team; Ability to work both as a leader and as part of a team; Familiarity with cloud-based software such as Salesforce, Wufoo, Grenadine, WordPress and Basecamp; Good conflict resolution instincts; Patience/good judgment with people; Ability to work with a wide range of presenters and answer their questions about technology and organization details for webinars.

Knowledge of, or ability to learn, basic video editing skills (e.g.

trimming a clip and adding a cover slide)

Areas of Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support for key programs including annual convention and on-site learning programs, including data entry, managing convention software, and relations with members and outside vendors.

Manage technology for online programing via Zoom.

Answer phones, triage calls, take and relay messages.

Set up phone calls and in-person meetings for various volunteer committees.

Manage communication to committees and task forces.

Coordinate registration and details for events, meetings and conventions.

Coordinate convention administration and data entry, using convention software.

Access and update Salesforce database and program page of CCAR website.

Coordinate tasks, manage content, and maintain master lists organized within Basecamp.

Ensure webinars and programs are recorded properly as well as edit and upload the recording to be available for member viewing within a week or so.

Manage the program calendar for the Director of Rabbinic Education and Support Services.

Participate in weekly staff meetings and other staff gatherings.
