This is a Full-time position in Pawtucket, RI posted November 25, 2021.

Position Title: Healthcare Initiatives Lead

Position Type: Full time; Exempt, weekdays with some evenings/weekends

Position Period: 12 months (grant-funded, with the possibility of extension)

Salary: $60,000
– $65,000 annually or commensurate with experience, plus benefits (health insurance, 401k, life insurance, etc.)

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

The Healthcare Initiatives Lead will lead and implement the healthcare policy, advocacy, and programming work within the Coalition and Homeless System.

Management of Healthcare Projects
Oversee the Coalition’s “Pay for Success” social impact bond program design and implementation;
Manage, develops, oversee, and evaluate healthcare projects using industry project management methodologies;
Develop project schedules, role assignments, and work plans, locating and contracting with additional resources as needed;
Monitor and manage projects to ensure it is successful, completed on time, within budget, and according to the approved project plan;
Identify potential project risks and difficulties and designs strategies to mitigate or avoid them;
Communicate and explain project scope, work plan, risks/issues, progress, and status to leadership, interested groups, and team members, then receive and incorporate feedback;
Compile and distribute project information and status reports;
Oversee project progress and develops reports;
Healthcare Policy Development and Research
Conduct healthcare policy research and analysis, including tracking and sharing federal/state healthcare legislation and policy directives;
Promote evidence-based practices and interventions related to healthcare and housing in various internal and external settings;
Lead the development of the advocacy and policy agenda for the Coalition as it relates to healthcare and homelessness;
Develop other programming and initiatives intended to address healthcare and homeless systemic issues;
Healthcare Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination
Meeting facilitation and coordination of stakeholder planning groups (e.g.

Healthcare and Homeless Steering Committee);
Support of coordination and collaboration between service providers and healthcare stakeholders (including EOHHS, Medicaid, etc.);
Communication and information sharing regarding trends, news, and policies in the healthcare and housing sectors, sharing to audiences as appropriate;
Provide technical assistance and subject matter expertise to service providers and healthcare stakeholders in pursuit of Coalition goals in healthcare work;
Outcome Measurement and Reporting
Work with our Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) team and external partners to ensure data sharing and outcome measurement is occurring related to healthcare and housing work;
Coordinate with our Coordinated Entry System (CES) team to support partnerships with the healthcare system and ensure the CES help center is updated on available healthcare resources and information;
Promote data and outcomes internally and externally, ensuring that stakeholders are informed about the progress of the work, state of healthcare/homelessness, and gaps/needs;
Work with the communications team to promote and share data related to healthcare and homelessness on the Coalition’s various platforms and social media accounts; &
Other Duties as Assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Baccalaureate degree in project management, public health, healthcare administration, social work, public administration, or related field.
5+ years of public health or health policy experience in healthcare organizations, government, or non-profit.
5+ years experience in project management and oversight, with demonstrated success in successfully completing projects.
Demonstrated experience with healthcare regulations and practices (preferably Medicaid, CMS, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, etc.).
Highly proficient in Google Suite (Gmail, calendar, drive, docs, sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Demonstrated experience with training and public speaking, able to communicate engagingly and effectively in a variety of settings.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and chaotic environment.
Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities, and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate working groups, build and maintain productive professional relationships, with experience working successfully with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in project management, public health, healthcare administration, social work, public administration, or related field.
10+ years of public health or health policy experience in healthcare organizations, government, or non-profit.
10+ years experience in project management and oversight, with demonstrated success in successfully completing projects.
Experience working with homeless and/or HUD-funded programs (e.g.

Continuum of Care or Emergency Solutions Grant).
Passion for ending homelessness and housing first principles.
Bilingual speaker (Spanish).
Lived experience of homelessness or housing instability.
Love of food, sense of humor, and inquisitive nature!
