Marketing Analyst


This is a Full-time position in San Francisco, CA posted December 22, 2021.

This role is responsible for measuring the effectiveness of our marketing spending, ensuring our demand generation results are tracked, and forecasting revenue.

This role is strategic in its modeling and discovery of growth opportunities.

The Marketing Analyst reports to the VP of Marketing and Demand Generation.

This role works closely with finance to track, forecast, and budget our spending.

It is also tied closely with our product and revenue teams to measure our marketing results.

This role regularly constructs customer lifetime values and uses them to determine the efficiency of our spending across different marketing channels.

This person is in charge of modeling new revenue resulting from our marketing spending as well as the upsell, downgrade, and cancellation rates of our customers.

As part of the Marketing team, Demand Generation is responsible for driving signups and leads to the CircleCI platform.

We work in cross-functional teams, use data and user research to drive our decision making, believe in delivering quickly, measuring our results, and constantly refining our approach.

What you’ll do:

  • Regularly produce revenue and growth forecasts
  • Report on marketing efficiency monthly
  • Drive the annual, quarterly, and monthly planning processes
  • Report regularly on all marketing and lead metrics
  • Determine the largest opportunities for improvement in our sales funnel
  • Work with finance to create budgets and ensure the marketing team spends within budget
  • Work with product team to find opportunities for growth in our user base

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Expert Excel skills
  • Experience with Amplitude, Segment, Looker, Bizible, and Salesforce a plus
  • Strong communicator and collaborator within and across departments
  • Experience with SQL
  • Previous experience at a B2B SaaS company a plus
  • Degree in economics, business, math, statistics, engineering, or other quantitative field preferred

Colorado Salary Range: $73,500
– $86,500/yr
